The History of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kijal Sekolah Kebangsaan Kijal or better known as Sekolah Melayu Kijal when it was built in 1926 at Kampung Tengah Kijal. The school building was built in collaboration with the villagers Kijal and was officially opened by Yang Berbahagia Tuan Pegawai Daerah Kemasik, Dato' Sangsurang together with a group of teachers Kemaman East, better known asthe District Education Officer.
During the opening number of his school is about 61 people and all men and have a teacher, Mr. Abdul Rahman bin Abd Hamid. In1930 Sekolah Melayu Kijal has been moved to the Kampung Ibai, Kijal and remains so today.
